Trivia[]

  • The fifth film is a prequel to the first film that created the chain of events throughout the first and second film.
    • This happened because Sam got Jim's lifespan, meaning Jim was supposed to die on Flight 180.
      • However, Peter killed him first, so he got Jim's life, but Sam killed Peter thus gaining Jim's life.
    • Also, even though Molly was safe from the bridge collapse, she was meant to be killed by Peter.
    • Also, Nate Sears, who gain Roy's lifespan by killing him, died because Roy's aneurysm was supposed to burst on the same day that Flight 180 exploded.
    • This also explains why the order was going backwards in the second film because Death is tying up the loose ends due to the survivors of Flight 180.
      • Eugene Dix was substituting Valerie Lewton's job at Mt. Abraham High when surprisingly one of his students in his original school brought a knife and stabbed his substitute teacher during a class.
      • Katherine "Kat" Jennings was supposed to meet with a client at a bed and breakfast via bus when suddenly the bus hits Terry Chaney, disgusting Kat and preventing her from suffering suffocation during a gas leak in the lodge.
      • Rory Peters traveled to Paris, France to spend his vacation to watch a film inside a movie theater until he witnessed Carter Horton's death nearby, disgusting himself and avoiding his own death after the theater he was going into collapsed due to unverified circumstances.
      • Trooper Thomas Burke was reassigned to clean the remains of Billy Hitchcock, avoiding a fatal shoot-out which took his partner's life.
      • Kimberly Corman stayed behind from her mother in an appliance store to watch a news feed about Tod Waggner's "suicide" during the time her mother was shot in their car when it was hijacked by street thugs.
  • The survivors from the previous films died in the later series.
    • Alexander Theodore "Alex" Browning and Clear Marie Rivers - Final Destination to Final Destination 2.
      • Clear shows a photo of Alex's dead body to Kimberly.
    • Kimberly "Kim" Corman and Thomas "Tom" Burke - Final Destination 2 to Final Destination 3.
  • In each film, the survivors would die in the order that should've took place in the disasters in the premonition.
    • The survivors have died in the order of the explosion that took place on Flight 180.
    • The survivors of Route 23 were dying backwards due to the Flight 180 survivors.
    • The survivors of Devil's Flight were dying individually or together based upon the seating of the roller coaster.
    • The survivors of McKinley Speedway were dying in order but changed because Jonathan Groves died out of order by not changing seats.
    • The North Bay Bridge survivors were dying based upon how they die in during the bridge collapse.
  • Shortly before Death preys on a victim, certain "clues" or "signs" as to how, where and when they will die.
    • Tod Waggner
      • A skeleton figurine hanging in a noose is among the toys scattered around Alex's room.
      • On the plane, Tod performs a gesture saying he'd strangle himself if Alex changed his seat with Blake and Christa.
      • When Tod plugs in his radio, the song that plays is "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver, who died in a plane crash.
      • Tod sees a rippling shadow in his bathroom mirror.
      • Immediately before Tod's death, Alex picks up a shred of a magazine that reads "Tod".
      • During his strangulation, Tod looks out into the bathroom and notices the dolls on the shelf seem to be smiling, as though they're pleased at the fact he's dying.
      • In Alex's premonition, Tod is knocked out by a radio. Before he died, Tod uses a radio similar to the one in Alex's vision.
      • Before Tod enters the bathroom, you can hear a choking sound.
      • Ironically, Tod's name is German for Death.
    • Terry Chaney
      • Alex sees the reflection of the bus on the outside window of a shop yet when he looks to the street there is no bus.
      • Alex asks Clear, "How do we know by sipping this coffee, or crossing the intersection that we haven't set in motion the events that could lead to our deaths". Ironically, as soon Terry steps out onto the intersection near the coffee shop abandoning the group, she is plowed into by the bus.
      • The song "Into the Void" is playing on Carter's car radio right before her death. The song contains the lyrics "final destination".
      • At the beginning of the movie before and after the plane crash, a picture of a bus is behind her.
      • Just seconds before she dies, she said, "You can just drop fucking dead!"
      • The colored line scheme on the side of the bus is very similar to the color scheme of Volée Air Flight 180's fuselage.
    • Valerie Lewton
      • A shadow appears in Valerie's kettle before the explosion occurs.
      • Valerie's house door has a dagger design on it which she backs into.
      • The door also has strong reds and oranges on it, echoing the house fire.
      • Once Alex figures out Death's design, he realizes Ms. Lewton is third to die.
      • "Rocky Mountain High" plays on Val's record player.
      • Alex sees ashes floating around his head, foreshadowing the fire.
      • The woman in Alex's TV before he went to Valerie's house said, "That's a huge knife set."
      • When Terry was run over by a bus, the camera pans last to Valerie when Alex, Carter and her were shocked.
      • In the opening sequence, there is a picture of a knife in someone's chest.
      • She frantically throws her mug into the air when she notice her school logo and says to herself, Soon you'll be gone, you'll be gone.
    • Billy Hitchcock
      • After barely passing his driver's test, his instructor told him, "Young man, you're gonna die a very young age". Interestingly enough, his eventual death did indeed involve a car.
      • Billy almost had his head crushed after he fell off his bicycle (due to Carter's reckless driving) and another car nearly ran him over.
      • When Carter is driving to "take control" the reflection of the train, Alex sees out his window has the number 747, which is the type of plane that 180 was.
      • During the opening credits, there is a guillotine.
      • While he is looking up at the plane taking off, the reflection of the plane is shown across his face. It's flying in a line right where the piece of the car decapitates him later on.
      • Throughout the film when he went clumsy and fell to the ground, the action is similar to one after he got decapitated.
      • While Billy, Carter and Clear are driving to Alex, Carter threatens to kill Billy, foreshadowing Carter's subsequent actions indirectly causing Billy's death.
      • While Carter is trying to "take control", Billy's hat falls off his head, mirroring the top half of Billy's head falling off the bottom half.
    • Carter Horton
      • Carter almost died when a train almost ran his car over, but Alex saved him at the last second. In return, Carter helped Alex from the sign at the last second.
      • The sign that hits Carter reads 180 backwards.
      • A man is singing "Rocky Mountain High" in French.
      • Before the accident that causes his death, Alex sees a butchered piece of meat.
      • Alex is nearly ran over by a bus, the same way that Terry died.
      • It should be noted that after Terry dies, the bloodstain on Carter's face really looks like number "5". This is true, he was the fifth survivor to die.
      • The plate number is RFK- 575 which is for Robert F. Kennedy who was shot.
      • A gust of wind blows out when Alex starts being concerned.
    • Alex Browning
      • After Terry Chaney's death, blood sprays on Alex's face. One of the blood stains looks like a 7, implying Alex is seventh on Death's List.
      • At the end of the movie, a man is singing "Rocky Mountain High" in French.
      • At the end of the movie, wine spills over Alex's drawing of the Flight 180 seats. The stain looks like blood and its over Alex's seat.
      • Alex almost got killed seven times which is the most times a character have evaded death. He was almost run over by a train, nearly electrocuted saving Clear, nearly killed in an explosion, nearly impaled in the face by blunt branches, almost drowns when a tree falls on him, almost run over by a bus, and was almost crushed by a sign. This is the same number in the order he was supposed to die.
      • During Final Destination 2, Clear mentions she and Alex cheated death dozens of times after the events of the first film, so it means that Death kept switching between the two until it finally got Alex, as he quoted, "You can't evade Death forever."
      • 3 months after Carter's death, Alex suffers a gruesome fate when a falling brick hit his head.
      • At the top of Alex's house, the roof had many bricks.
    • Clear Rivers
      • Kimberly told Clear, "In my opinion, you're already dead."
      • Every time Clear was nearly killed, it always had something to do with explosions:
        • The mortician tells Clear that she has such a fire in her.
        • Clear previously hit a teen for smoking at a gas station.
        • When Alex is using a cigarette lighter, there's a spark which looks like lightning.
        • Clear saw someone drop a tank of propane.
        • In the opening credits of Final Destination 2, there's a mask with black ink on its face. It's like it was burned, implicating Clear's death in which it shows how her skin was burnt.
        • After Flight 180 blows up, behind Clear was an orange and red picture which might have echoed the explosion.
        • Clear was originally supposed to die from an explosion while on board Flight 180, and from an explosion in her car, if it weren't for the intervention of Alex.
        • The reason for Clear's death through an explosion might be Death mimicking the Flight 180 explosion, the disaster where Clear was originally supposed to die on.
      • She is also nearly killed while in Thomas Burke's apartment when a canoeing boat falls and nearly impales her, and throws her out the window that the canoe hit.
      • In the Flight 180 seat configuration, Clear was seated in "Seat 23", a nod of Route 23.
      • In some versions of the film, the coloration of her death scene is warm (red, orange and yellow).
      • Ironically, Eugene Dix, who died with her in the blast, was the sixth survivor of Route 23 to die, while Clear herself was the seventh Flight 180 survivor to die, and the seventh to die in the second movie.
    • Evan Lewis
      • The fridge magnets on Evan's refrigerator spell HEY E. The H falls, leaving the word EYE.
        • The H that fell also looks like part of a ladder, foreshadowing the fire escape ladder that would fall on Evan's eye.
      • Evan's car has a phoenix design on its hood.
      • While Evan is carrying his purchased items to his apartment, he accidentally steps on a doll's face, and said face is missing an eye.
      • Evan shouts out "JESUS!" several times during his death scene.
      • On the day he died, his shirt read, Bill Wall Leather. This same line could be seen on the car that started the pile-up.
      • While Evan searches for something to eat, a gust of wind brushes past him.
      • One of the items carried into his room is an Apple "iMac", possibly referencing the macaroni he was cooking before the fire.
      • In the opening credits, an exacto knife was pointing at Kimberly's eye, foreshadowing Evan's death.
      • Evan has a phoenix sticker on his apartment door.
      • Evan was about to walk under the ladder before he died, which is a common superstition said to bring bad luck.
    • Tim Carpenter
      • Tim almost died when the electricity in the dentist's office malfunctioned and he nearly choked to death on laughing gas and a toy blow fish that fell into his mouth.
      • In the opening credits, there appears to be a puppet hanging on a string, and the shadow looks like a glass pane falling on someone.
      • When Nora dims the light to Tim's bedroom after tucking him in, his face is illuminated with a skull outline, this image can be better seen when the scene dissolves into the next.
      • Kimberly sees pigeons flying towards her before heading to the dentist's office, even though not a pigeon was in sight. Also, she saw it through a reflection in a glass window.
      • The song "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver can be heard barely in the dentist's room.
      • Tim's dentist asks him, "Your mom says you've been having some pane lately?"
      • The pane that kills Tim is visible from the dentist's office.
      • A pigeon banged on the window of the dentist's office. And there is a myth that when a bird hits your window then somebody you know is going to die.
      • Tim is standing in the intersection of tiles, making it look like an "X" and implicating that he is the target.
      • In the dentist's office, the fish tank has a skull inside.
      • One of the fish inside the fish tank died after being sucked into a filter.
      • A sign reading CAUTION is seen before his death.
      • One of the pigeons actually breaks through a window, and gets inside the waiting room. According to some superstitions; a bird being inside a building means that someone in the building will die.
    • Nora Carpenter
      • Rory sees a shadow of a man carrying hooks.
      • Nora almost died when she was nearly electrocuted in a puddle at the dentist's office.
      • Nora told Kimberly that, after her husband and son died, she was okay with accepting death. Ironically enough, right before she is decapitated, she can be heard screaming "I don't wanna die".
      • Nora told Kimberly she had a funeral to plan.
      • The elevator that got Rory's shoe stuck in between the doors was the same elevator that got Nora's head stuck.
      • Nora was supposed to be the fifth (or sixth; it depends if it was her son first) to die, but death decided to go backwards and made her third.
      • Clear and Kat did not realize they are making it worse as Eugene and the man are also pulling her head up when they were pulling her body down.
      • The elevator that Nora was hanging from was the 3rd floor. The arrow next to the 3 made it look like a 13.
      • When Rory took the elevator up to Burke's apartment, "Rocky Mountain High" is playing as elevator music. This song played during the death of Valerie Lewton.
      • Eugene told Kimberly his head didn't release after morning.
      • Nora told Tim "some people need re-wiring". Later in the movie, she was killed by the elevator because it was malfunctioning.
      • In the premonition, she cannot stop because there was a water bottle blocking access to the break, the pedal is crushing the head of the bottle hinting Nora's death.
    • Kat Jennings
      • After pulling Brian out of the way of an oncoming news van, Rory tells him to "use his head."
      • The location of Kat's car wreck is at the 180 Mile Marker.
      • Before the incident, another pipe was shown and gas was running through it. The gas looked a lot like blood.
      • In the opening credits, an exacto knife points at Kimberly's head on the photo hinting Kat to be impaled by a pipe.
      • When Rory was talking about how he was uncomfortable sitting next to the person who is going to die, Rory whispers, "hopefully her", pointing to Kat.
    • Rory Peters
      • A strong gust of wind blows Kat's cigarette into the pipe, indicating Death's presence.
      • Before Nora Carpenter's death, Rory saw a shadow of a man carrying hooks, but the shadow was between the coat hangers' shadows, making it look like it was cut in pieces.
      • When the group looks for Isabella Hudson, the landscape around the road has plenty of fences visible.
      • Rory mentions that he would stop doing drugs if he was to be killed, and the reason why he was cut to pieces was because he stopped using drugs.
      • At the intro, a clothing near Kimberly's bed has a line pattern that resembles barbed wire.
      • Prior to his death, Rory asks Kimberly if it will hurt when he dies. Unsure of the answer, she says, "I don't know", and he dies in an excruciating manner.
      • When Rory drops several items from a closet (shortly before he sees the "Man With Hooks" in the shadows), a slicing sound can be heard.
      • Before his death, he saved Brian Gibbons from being run over by a news van. This van was the van that later exploded, so in a way, he caused his own death.
    • Eugene Dix
      • Eugene tried to kill himself via handgun, but all six bullets were duds. Clear confirmed that it wasn't his time to die.
      • When the plug is pulled in the room it creates a spark, then the spark then ignites the room once Clear opens the door. The spark from the pulled plug and the sudden burst of oxygen from outside the room creates a explosion.
      • Eugene had a key chain of a pool ball with the unlucky number 13 on it.
      • When Eugene tried to commit suicide with a gun. In the gun, there are 6 bullets and it marks him the sixth survivor to die.
      • During the time of his death, the milliliters go up to "1800".
      • In Burke's apartment, he says to Clear Rivers:"If Death is after you, why don't you just stay the hell away from us." Unfortunately, they both die in a same explosion.
    • Brian Gibbons
      • Kat nearly runs him over with her SUV when they crash through the stack of hay onto the field.
      • Brian almost died when he was nearly run over by a news van, but Rory saved him. Even though he had nothing to do with Route 23 or Flight 180, he was immediately added to Death's list after his death was skipped.
      • In some versions of the film, the coloration of this scene is warm (red, orange and yellow).
      • Interestingly, Rory, who was meant to die on Route 23, saved his life. However, if Rory had died on the crash, there would have been no news van near Brian in the first place, meaning he would not have died if the crash had not taken place. Unless he would have died that same day, but something different were to occur. But according to Clear, the survivors had affected everything around them since they survived the pile-up. Just like what happened before: Kat should of died earlier, but because of the Flight 180's survivors, she didn't die and her fate was affected. But this time the case is like this: Brian should have not originally died, but because of the Route 23's survivors, his fate was altered, the news van was supposed to cause his death, his death was intervened, and as a result he was put on death's list and died.
      • The news van which Rory saved Brian from running over him caused Rory's death.
      • Brian's surname is 'Gibbons'. In many FPS games, 'gibbing' refers to being blown to pieces by an explosion.
      • The news van that was supposed to hit him blew up, foreshadowing his death.
    • Kimberly Corman
      • Kimberly avoided death thrice. She was almost run over by the Truck from Hell along with her friends, but Burke intervened. She was almost killed when Eugene's room blew up and a shelf went flying at her. She also drove a van into a lake and drowned herself, but she was revived. She died four years later in a woodchipper accident.
      • At the top of the page of the newspaper, there is a heading that says "COST OF COMMUTING | B2-3" which could possibly be referencing the Route 23 pile-up.
      • The car started the chain reaction used to be owned by Evan Lewis.
      • The wood chipper that sucked Thomas and Kimberly in is owned by Brian Gibbons' father.
      • Thomas and Kimberly's death certificates were signed by Doctor Ellen Kalarjian.
      • The funeral services for both were held at Mr. Bludworth's Funeral Home.
      • Ironically, the machine that kills them is a machine that deals with logs and wood.
    • Thomas Burke
      • At the top of the page of the newspaper, there is a heading that says "COST OF COMMUTING | B2-3" which could possibly be referencing the Route 23 pile-up.
      • The car started the chain reaction used to be owned by Evan Lewis.
      • The wood chipper that sucked Thomas and Kimberly in is owned by Brian Gibbons' father.
      • Thomas and Kimberly's death certificates were signed by Doctor Ellen Kalarjian.
      • The funeral services for both were held at Mr. Bludworth's Funeral Home.
      • Burke's police call sign is Unit 13.
      • Ironically, the machine that kills them is a machine that deals with logs and wood.
    • Ashley Freund
      • When the coaster detaches, she is the last one to fall down, However, after the premonition, she is the first one to die.
      • Wendy's photo of Ashley and Ashlyn is overexposed, making it look like they're on fire.
      • After Ashley wins at the water gun booth, her prize is an inflatable palm tree, which represents the potted palm, which knocked over the shelf, that locks the tanning beds, trapping Ashley & Ashlyn. Also, the water gun booth can be seen as foreshadowing for the smoothie (liquid) that causes the bed's VAC to short.
      • Ashley and Ashlyn listen to Love Rollercoaster before the beds burn.
      • Both girls have the word "ash" is in their names.
      • Ashley's number written on a piece of a paper lays beside Wendy's overheating lamp.
      • When Wendy is in her room, her lamp's light bursts at the same time Ashley and Ashlyn get incinerated.
      • Before they could even go to the tanning room, the camera shows a canister containing an alcoholic (flammable) liquid. Causing more of a fire in the beds.
      • When Ashley's phone rings, it plays a horror tune.
      • During Ashley and Ashlyn's funeral, the song Hundred Grand by Pete Atherton plays, which is the same song that played at the unveiling of the Flight 180 memorial in Final Destination.
      • In the opening sequence, there are two women, known as The Electric Sisters, who were electrocuted in their electric chairs, their skins, were overexposed.
      • On one of the tanning beds there is a sign that says, "These beds are ready. Are YOU?"
      • During the song Love Rollercoaster, you can hear one of the singers says "high!" again and again in the scene where the tanning bed temperature rises higher and higher.
      • The song Love Rollercoaster by The Ohio Players is the subject of a very popular urban legend, where the screams of the model who posed for the band's Honey album cover was heard in the song as she was being stabbed by the studio's owner for threatening to file a wrongful injury lawsuit against them. This legend, of course, is false, and while the scream was indeed faintly heard during part of the song, it was in fact caused by microphone feedback.
      • The name of the salon is "Phoenix Tanning Salon". According to mythology, Phoenixes are associated with fire, and arise from their own ashes after death. Quite fitting, considering the girls' first names.
      • Right before their deaths, Wendy leaves a message on Ashley's phone saying "Sorry I was too late".
      • Frankie tells both girls that they are smoking hot.
      • Ashley won the watergun game and they were burned to death.
      • The alcohol in the tanning salon is likely a reference to Valerie Lewton's liquor.
    • Ashlyn Halperin
      • Wendy's photo of Ashley and Ashlyn is overexposed, making it look like they're on fire.
      • After Ashley wins at the water gun booth, her prize is an inflatable palm tree, which represents the potted palm, which knocked over the loose shelf, that locks the tanning beds, trapping Ashley & Ashlyn.
      • She and Ashley listen to the song, Love Rollercoaster, before the accident, a reference to Devil's Flight.
      • It's ironic due to the fact that the word "ash" is in their names.
      • When Wendy is in her room, her lamp's light bursts at the same time Ashley and Ashlyn get incinerated.
      • Before getting into the tanning bed, Ashlyn turns up the heating in the room, stating that, "A few degrees won't hurt.", which in fact was the cause of each of their deaths.
      • When Ashley's phone rings, it plays a horror tune.
      • During the Love Rollercoaster song, you can hear one of the singers says "high!" again and again in the scene where the tanning bed temperature rises higher and higher.
      • The name of the salon is "Phoenix Tanning Salon". According to mythology, phoenixes are associated with fire.
      • If you look at the picture closely at Ashlyn, her head is laying on the palm tree, it represents the wooden plank that knocks her out in a deleted scene.
      • If you look behind them you could sort of see a palm tree just in the corner of their picture, which is also in the room with them and in the company's logo.
      • Frankie tells them they're smoking hot.
      • Wendy leaves Ashley a message on her phone saying "Sorry I was too late".
    • Frankie Cheeks
      • Kevin takes a picture showing a fan behind Frankie's head. Which in fact, was the intention of taking the picture under Stacey's skirt, similar to how he was trying to record Ashley and Ashlyn. And both of the intentions are sexual harassment.
      • The song "Turn Around, Look At Me" plays in Kevin's truck before the accident.
      • The word CONTROL on the message board at the restaurant disappears, indicating Wendy has no control over Frankie's death, and the out-of-control truck that causes his death.
      • In the opening credits, a ferris wheel is shown having a lighting effect in the shape of a fan.
      • Frankie shares the same name as a character in Final Destination 2, Frankie. Ironically, that Frankie's death is also caused by a truck.
      • At the drive-thru beside Frankie's car, a yellow flower says CURLY FRIES. It looks like the fan that killed Frankie and the color is the same as his car.
      • In the opening scene, there's a picture of a circus freak biting down on a saw.
      • The Hice Pale Ale beer truck, from Final Destination 2, was shown in the drive-thru.
      • The truck which begins the chain reaction has a color pattern similar to the fuselage of Flight 180.
      • The truck which begins the chain reaction has the logo 'Moving Thunder' on it.
      • If you noticed, in the beginning of the film, he was at first seen recording Ashley and Ashlyn in the water gun booth behind much before he was called by name before riding the rollercoaster, and when he died, Wendy and Kevin didn't notice it was him.
    • Lewis Romero
      • When Lewis plays the hammer game at the Carnival, he hits the bell with so much force that it knocks away the wooden figure's head.
      • Wendy took Lewis' picture the moment he sent the weight of the hammer game upwards. However, when she looks at the photo, the blurry weight seems to be coming downwards towards Lewis' head.
        • A cardboard sultan was also shown in the picture. Lewis's football team was named "The Sultans".
          • The aforementioned sultan wields a pair of swords identical to the ones on display in the gym.
          • A sign in the picture says, Hell's Game.
      • A toy bear was shown in Lewis's picture. The gym where Lewis works out at has a large stuffed bear in it.
      • The sign with the swords on it has the line "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger".
      • The song "Killing Time" plays on the radio at the gym.
      • At the opening scene, a caricature of a sword-eater can be seen.
      • Lewis continuously repeats "That is 3, number 3, number 3..." during the hammer game. If one is to consider Ashley and Ashlyn's death scenes as a single one, Lewis would have the third death scene in the movie.
      • At the Carnival, Lewis says "I JUST WIN!" when he scores at the hammer game. He says the same line seconds before the weights crush his head.
        • Lewis is also portrayed as a trash-talker throughout the movie, constantly swearing and insulting others, including Death itself before he dies. His brutal way of dying could be interpreted as Death's way of silencing Lewis once and for all, both as a lesson and as a response to his insult.
    • Erin Ulmer
      • In the opening credits, a woman has been painted onto a banner with nails coming out of her nose and ears.
      • Wendy sees several fans while entering the store, reminiscing Frankie's death.
      • A soft gust of wind welcomes Wendy when she enters the store.
      • Erin is seen picking up nails with a magnet while doing her work.
      • The lights in the store flicker for a brief moment.
      • Wendy took a picture of Ian and Erin at the theme park, on the night of the derailment. In the photo, Ian recoils from the flash while holding the toy gun, aiming it at Erin's face.
      • The double meaning of the word "nail" plays a part in Erin's death:
        • She mocks Wendy's theory by saying that Ian would be embarrassed to death by her nail polish.
        • Said nail polish can also be seen in the photo, as Erin shows her middle finger to the camera with her nail visible.
      • Erin gives the middle finger in the photograph, a repeated gesture in the movie.
      • Also in the photograph, the letter "S" in the small flags saying "SKILL" is obscured, leaving the world "KILL".
      • The way Erin held up her hand to her face when the nails penetrated her head is the same as the way she held her hand up in the photo while covering her face from the flash.
      • The nail gun that killed Erin was the same gun Ian used not long before she died.
      • In the opening credits, a female mannequin with nails through her skull is shown.
      • Erin referred to the customers as pinheads.
      • Ian's nickname to Erin is "Pip", a possible onomatopoeia to the nail gun shooting her skull.
    • Perry Malinowski
      • The flag that impales her reads LIBERTY OR DEATH.
      • In the picture Wendy took of Julie and Perry on the night of the accident, an American flag can be seen behind Perry in the background.
      • Also, in the picture, a horse is seen on a merry-go-round in the background. It looks like the horse that caused Perry's death and nearly killed Julie.
      • In the picture as well, the horse has a pole through it, foreshadowing Perry's fate.
    • Ian McKinley
      • The sign, the banners and the fence posts have something to do with him:
        • All of them are shaped as irregular pentagons, a geometrical shape with five points and sides. Ian was meant to be the fifth survivor to die, but said death was intervened.
        • The longer point of all these objects are pointing down, towards Ian.
        • The giant sign that crushed Ian was pointing down at him, similar to the banners from Wendy's photo and the fence posts at the store.
          • Additionally, just before Ian was crushed, he looks up at the sign the same way he did when the fence posts nearly impaled him.
      • At the aftermath of the disaster, Ian is seen complaining to Erin about his last name also being the town's name (McKinley, Pennsylvania), writing "Ian" over the school's name, which is also McKinley. Coincidentally, the sign that crushes him also has "McKinley" written on it, only this time, Ian is below his own name.
      • As Ian stalks Wendy to the Tricentennial, her car radio immediately starts playing Turn Around, Look At Me to show her she's being followed.
      • In the novel, during the premonition, Ian doesn't die from the fall itself, but rather from succumbing to his injuries. It can be assumed Erin succumbed to hers shortly after, therefore placing her after Ian on the list, accordingly to the movie.
      • In his picture, Ian recoiled at the camera's flash, just like Kevin did in his own picture. Both their deaths in real life involved fireworks blasting at them at point-blank range.
      • In his picture, Ian accidentally points the toy gun towards Erin's face, foreshadowing her own death by a nail gun.
      • In the picture, the word "SKILL" is shown but the letter "S" is obscured. So it shows the word "KILL".
      • The poster that shows "KILL" looks like made of wood. Hinting the planks that almost killed Ian.
    • Julie Christensen
      • In an alternate ending, Wendy observes the train schedule and notices the last stop says END in bold, red letters.
      • In Julie's photo, she flips off Wendy before taking a picture, and there's a carousel horse in the background. However, this death was intervened by Kevin. Also is a circle that looks like a wheel about to hit her head.
      • A subway musician starts singing "Turn Around, Look At Me", which is a recurring song in the movie.
      • In Wendy's photo, Jason's face is blurred. On the train, the people speed past Wendy and all of their faces are blurry.
      • While looking in the mirror, Wendy notices the train's number. Backwards, it reads 180.
      • Wendy sees a sign advertising the restaurant where Frankie Cheeks died.
      • Wendy sees a sign advertising the hardware store where Erin Ulmer died.
      • Wendy sees a sign advertising the tanning salon where Ashley and Ashlyn died.
      • Some people in the train were cheering for Bruins, the rival team of The Sultans.
      • Wendy sees a sign stating, There is no escaping DEATH and taxes.
      • The train conductor menacingly stated, "The next stop is the end of the line."
      • In the opening scene, a merry-go-round's reflection is spinning out of control. This implies that her death was caused by something round spinning out of control.
      • One of the men boarding the train is bald and sports a white and red tattoo, with the tattoo on the left side of his head - which makes him eerily look like Frankie Cheeks when he died.
      • There is a horse on Julie's charm bracelet, implicating the horse at the tricentennial that nearly killed her.
      • Just like at the tricentennial, Kevin warns Julie and she dies because she doesn't listen to his warning.
    • Kevin Fischer
      • In the photos, it shows one when Wendy flashed the camera at Kevin's face, looking like a firework burned his face. However, Wendy intervened with this death. The picture also looks like he is being squished or hit on a wall.
      • Had Wendy not intervened, Kevin would have had his face burned by a gas grill exploding into it which was also similar to his photograph.
      • When he is against the train window, his facial expression is similar to the one in his photo.
      • In an alternate ending, Wendy observes the train schedule and notices the last stop says END in bold, red letters.
      • A subway musician starts singing "Turn Around, Look At Me", which is a recurring song in the movie.
      • One of the men boarding the train is bald and sports a white and red tattoo, with the tattoo on the left side of his head - which makes him eerily look like Frankie Cheeks when he died.
      • In The Fireworks Area, when the stick hits the wire to the flammable tanks, and the fire goes up in Kevin's face. It's similar when Clear River's face was burned by a fire explosion in Final Destination 2.
      • Throughout the movie, Kevin asks Wendy if his death is painful or embarrassing. Unlucky for him, he dies a pretty excruciating death. This also has some connection with Rory. Before Rory's death he asks Kimberly if his death is painful.
      • In one scene, Kevin checks with Wendy if its safe for him to drive, and if she has any photos of him "pressed against the windscreen" - when he dies on the train, he is pressed against the window.
      • In Train 081, the sign do not lean on the glass which hinted Kevin's death.
      • Kevin's death is similar to Isaac's death is Sam's vision of the bridge collapsing.
      • When Kevin's face was burned at the tricentennial, it was similar to how Clear Rivers died in Final Destination 2.
      • Kevin's picture looks like his face is pressed against a window.
      • Wendy sees people on a train pressed against a window, hinting Kevin's death.
      • Wendy hit her head and cracked a window like Kevin did hinting his death.
    • Wendy Christensen
      • Ian was never meant to kill Wendy. Wendy just mistook the clue in the photograph (her wearing a shirt with 'McKinley' on it) as a sign that Ian would be the cause of her death. The 'McKinley' clue was actually referring to the Cherry picker that was supposed to kill Wendy, but killed Ian instead. Ian died because he was (unknowingly) intervening with Wendy's death just by standing in their way.
      • In an alternate ending, Wendy observes the train schedule and notices the last stop says END in bold, red letters.
      • A black wolf crosses the street in front of her car, and stares at her.
      • She is haunted by the song "Turn Around, Look At Me".
      • The voice of the mortician from the first two movies played the conductor on the train.
      • A subway musician started singing "Turn Around, Look At Me", which was a recurring song in the movie.
      • In Wendy's photo, Jason's face was blurred. On the train, the people sped past Wendy, and all of their faces were blurry.
      • One of the men boarding the train was bald, and sported a white and red tattoo, with the tattoo on the left side of his head - which made him eerily look like Frankie Cheeks when he died.
      • Jason said, "I'll meet you at the end.", before boarding the coaster and dying, presumably foreshadowing her death AT THE END of the movie, and her reunion with him.
      • When Wendy and Kevin went to the gym, and Wendy was looking around, Kevin and Lewis talked about the signs in the background. Kevin said something about two sisters who were killed when going to visit each other. Wendy and Julie talked about visiting each other, and they both died on the train.
      • When in the cemetery, an ominous wind blows through the pine trees.
      • When in her room, wind blows over her things.
      • When in the drive-through, the word control disappears..she has no control.
      • On the train, there is a sign saying "Today might be your lucky day".
      • At the opening credits, there was a board written "Do you believe in fortune?"
      • On the train, there is a sign advertising 'Slushee: Totally Cool', the drink Ashley and Ashlyn were drinking.
      • The lamp's light in Wendy's room bursts at the same time Ashley and Ashlyn get incinerated in the tanning bed.
    • Nadia Monroy
      • Nadia's death was identical to the way she died in the main character's vision, as she died from being decapitated by a flying tire in both Nick's premonition and in real life.
      • Before she is killed, a sign can be seen behind Nadia. Due to being partially obscured, the sign reads "Hell's Candies".
      • Nadia, before her death, asks "Have you all lost your fucking minds?!". Her death was caused by a tire that completely destroyed her head, indicating that she literally lost her mind.
      • The section Nick and his friends are sitting in is 180, a recurring number in the series.
      • This is the fifth time a character dies in the Final Destination series where the main characters were too busy screaming and arguing with each other and ended up ironically dying due to their own carelessness. The first four being Terry Chaney being hit by the bus, Billy Hitchcock with the car wreckage, Lewis Romero being smashed with weights, and Ian McKinley being crushed by a cherry picker.
      • In an alternate scene, Nadia is killed when a screw driver (which caused the whole accident) is launched at Nadia by the force of the cars' explosion. The tool slits hers and another man's throats.
    • Carter Daniels
      • In the vision Nick has of the stadium being destroyed, Carter was killed when a burning car hood flew through the air and cut him and Cynthia in half at the waist.
      • At the memorial, Carter is wearing a necklace that has a hook-shaped pendant.
      • Nick has a vision of a death involving George's house, a horseshoe, a hook attached to a chain and fire.
      • On his way to George's house, Carter listens to the song "Burning Bridges".
      • One song Carter listens to in his car says, "Destructive forces out to get you."
      • The hat Carter wore during his attempted cross burning had a skull on it.
      • The name on the back of the tow truck and the paperwork inside it is "Destiny Towing".
      • The song, "Why Can't We Be Friends?", begins playing right before Carter is hooked. Ironically, this song played after he did cross burning because he hated George.
      • Carter's death, being set on fire and dragged behind a truck, is an ironic reference to how some racist lynch mobs would execute their victims.
      • The next morning, after Carter's death, Lori is watching a cartoon of an animal who is on fire.
      • As Nick was having a vision of Carter's death, as the hook caught on fire and exploded, the words "IT'S HERE" can be seen emblazoned in red among the flames. The words can also be seen in some of the other visions that Nick had of the characters other than Carter.
      • When Carter pull's up at George's house, George is reading an Alcoholic's Anonymous book, while Carter is drinking a can of Hice Pale Ale beer.
      • Carter has the same name as Carter Horton in Final Destination.
      • Carter drinks a Hice Pale Ale beer, from Final Destination 2 & 3, and the one that starts his truck.
      • It's superstitious for a horseshoe to point downwards.
      • In the race track, you can see Carter's tattoo, it depicts a swastika, further evidence of his racial intolerance.
    • Samantha Lane
      • Ironically, her face had been disfigured in her death and Nick's vision.
      • Nick sees a vague vision of someone dying from a stone.
      • Immediately before her death, Samantha tells her sons, "I've got my eye on you two!"
      • The salon closes at 6:00PM, which in twenty four hour time is 18:00.
      • The salon is named "Salon Dante".
      • The reflection in the hand mirror of the ceiling fan that prompted Nick's vision of Samantha's death had a small pile of stones next to it.
      • On the news article that Nick read about her death, on the right hand Related Stories column, a news topic read "Bus crash on HWY 180 kills 32".
      • Samantha said that her children aren't going to leave her sight until she ships then off to college. However, Death had something else in mind which involves blinding her right eye.
      • It's possible that Samantha was originally supposed to be crumbled by the falling ceiling fan, but her children intervened by slipping on the hair gel and causing Samantha to look away and move out of its path. However, it was implied in Nick's vision that someone would die from a stone, so the falling fan may have just been added to build suspense.
      • Dee Dee aims her scissors at Samantha's right eye, foreshadowing her death.
      • An exacto knife falls onto Nick and Lori's picture. The knife aims at Lori's right eye, foreshadowing Samantha's death.
      • The hairdressing scene is alluded to in the opening sequence.
      • Both of her sons are wearing sports shirts during her death. The numbers on the shirts are "9" and "20" - 9x20 = 180.
    • Andy Kewzer
      • Nick had a vision of a death involving spinning tires, a winch and a flying tank.
      • Before nearly being hit by the van, Andy says "If I was meant to die, it would've happened by now."
      • Before the group arrives at the garage, there is a car that looks like Carter Horton's car.
      • In two deleted scenes, Andy has a different death, in both Nick's premonition and his actual death. At the speedway, Andy gets up tries to leave but a car explodes, killing him. In the other deleted scene, when the CO2 tank comes to him he isn't diced. Instead, when the tank falls it took a piece out of him making his spinal column visible.
      • Before his death, in the garage, you can see a sign saying "DANGER" and below it, you can see 2 CO2 tanks.
      • At the start of the movie, the camera angle and the 3D causes us to go through a fence, similar to the one that killed Andy.
      • Before Nick and Lori arrives, Andy is almost killed twice by the car he is repairing, when suddenly it is released when Lori backs into it, the car almost crushes him, minutes later, this same car is disconnected and tries to crashes Andy to the fence, but the chain stops.
      • This character shares the same name as 'Andy's' a fast-food restaurant in Final Destination 3, where Frankie Cheeks was killed.
      • The van that almost crushed Andy had writed "Brand X" on it. Andy's torso resembled an X when its diced.
        • "Brand X" also appeared on Car 6, which was one of the main instigators of the crash that should have killed Andy.
    • Hunt Wynorski
      • Both Janet and Hunt had chances of dying from drowning.
      • Janet dropped a coin into a sewer grate, just as Hunt would drop his lucky coin in the pool a few seconds later.
      • Nick has a vague vision of water, a coin and a pool's suction meter.
      • Right after losing his lucky coin, Hunt dives in the pool, hinting that he died of bad luck.
      • When at the the pool, Hunt's tattoo is visible, and it's a cross.
      • After they survive the accident, Hunt said if they were really going to die, he would want to get laid before dying. This becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, as the last thing he did before dying was have sex.
      • Nick asked Hunt if "would it kill you to be sensitive."
      • While Nick was driving to save Hunt, he sees a sign that says "Clear Rivers Water".
      • The pressure gauge at full capacity is actually supposed to be at "180".
      • After the accident, Nick catches Hunt's coin and puts it down in front of him. The coin was on tails, representing the side where Hunt's organs got extracted from.
    • Jonathan Groves
      • In Nick's premonition at the speedway, Jonathan was killed when a burning car flew through the air and knocked him into a pillar.
      • While packing for a trip to Amsterdam, Nick accidentally knocks a book on the floor. The book opens to a page which has a picture of a hand sticking out of a river of water.
      • The aforementioned image causes Nick to a have a vision of a death involving a tub of water, faucets, a soaked ceiling and blood splattering on a wall.
      • The war veteran, Mr. Suby, who was going through physical therapy on the floor above Jonathan, has the same surname as the detective Kimberly Corman talked to about the pile up on Route 23 in Final Destination 2.
    • George Lanter
      • Nick sees an image of a snake wrapped around a metal spike which is known as the Rod of Asclepius known as the symbol of medicine. This was the same symbol that was on the ambulance that ran George over.
      • George comically revealed to Nick and Lori that he tried to kill himself several times, but it didn't work, because it wasn't his time yet.
      • George talked to Nick about déjà vu and his dead wife immediately before he dies. Ironically, George is run over like Terry Chaney, giving a déjà vu reference to the first film.
      • George is named after George Waggner (Tod Wagger's brother from the original Final Destination).
      • Ironically, the film also has a déjà vu reference to the first film: The Browning Dog, The Clear Rivers sign, Carter's car, Terry's Death.
      • Normally, an Ambulance truck will help someone, but ironically, it is the opposite (the truck doesn't help him).
      • Throughout the film, ambulance sirens can be heard. Once when Janet walked out of the laundry shop, and another one when Lori was on the phone at the Cafe.
      • George is the 7th survivor to die. At the memorial, a news van is seen behind George with the number 7.
      • At the speedway before the accident, George watches the race through the grind fence. Interestingly enough, as George is in the background, the racers rush past by in the foreground, making it seem, like they are running over George, just as he was meant to have died.
    • Lori Milligan
      • The shop Lori is in is called, DEATH BY CAFFEINE.
      • Nick sees a woman reading about the movie, LOVE LAYS DYING.

      • Lori says that she and Nick will be traveling to Paris, which was where Alex and his friends were planning on going to until their Flight 180 plane exploded.
      • Lori was supposed to have been grinded into the belt of an escalator, but Nick intervened and it skipped her death (as well as Janet's).
      • An exacto knife falls on Lori's head in a photo, foreshadowing that she will die of a head injury.
      • While shopping with Janet at the mall, Lori's foot is continuously bumped by a toy car. The car is a model of Car 6 at the speedway. Moreover, the car tells Lori that her newly-bought shoes will get caught in the escalator.
      • In the refrigerator on Death By Caffeine, there is a sticker of Hice Pale Ale, it is the brand of beer in Final Destination 2 & 3.
      • In Final Destination, Alex and Clear is talking about Death while drinking coffee and Alex saw a bus reflection on the window of the coffee store while Clear asks if they will choke to death. While Nick, Lori and Janet is drinking coffee in a shop a truck crush on them and before Nick entering the coffee shop, a 180 bus cross the street.
      • Lori's head turned 180 degrees before snapping off.
      • If you look closely at the truck that ends up killing her, you'll see that, oddly enough, it doesn't have any headlights.
    • Nick O'Bannon
      • After Samantha dies, the driver of the lawnmower loses a tooth.
      • While car 6 was in pit stop, the number 666 is shown (a number 6 on the car and two number 6 flags which forms 666).
      • After Hunt's death, Nick spills a cup of coffee on a newspaper in his house. The newspaper had an article in it mentioning three teenagers who were killed in a store when an out of control car crashed through a storefront window where the three teenagers were at.
      • The cafe that Nick and his friends are in is called "Death By Caffeine".
      • A chalkboard on the wall of the cafe reveals the shop's beverages all have gimmicky names based on Death, such as "Iced Mocha Fatality" and "Knockin' on Death's Door Lattie".

      • Nick notices the TV is turned onto a speedway racing match.
      • Nick sees a scratched out sign on the table saying "IT'S COMING", and beneath it says "IT'S HERE", which can also be seen in each and every one of Nick's premonitions briefly.
      • Before entering the shop, Nick warns a construction worker on the scaffolding one of the pipes needs to be tightened. This was probably the cause of it falling over in the first place.
      • Before meeting the aforementioned construction worker, a bus with the number "180" can be seen passing by.
      • Lori says that she and Nick will be traveling to Paris, which was where Alex and his friends were planning on going to until their flight exploded.
      • In the refrigerator on Death By Caffeine, there is a sticker of Hice Pale Ale, it is the brand of beer in Final Destination 2 & 3.
      • In Final Destination, Alex and Clear are talking about Death while drinking coffee and Alex saw a bus reflection on the window of the coffee store while Clear asks if they will choke to death. While Nick, Lori and Janet are drinking coffee in a shop a truck crush on them and before Nick entering the coffee shop, a 180 bus cross the street.
      • It's quite possible like Nick himself said that they were always meant to die in Death by Caffeine and not the McKinley Speedway.
      • While in the shop, the Homeless man approaches Nick, thanking him for saving the people in the mall. Nick says that. "He was just in the right place, at the right time.". In which, the Homeless man tells him "that is all it takes..."
      • If you look closely at the truck that ends up killing him, you'll see that it doesn't appear to have any headlights.
    • Janet Cunningham
      • The towtruck towing her vehicle is the same one Carter was driving.
      • The shop Janet is in is called, DEATH BY CAFFEINE.
      • Nick sees a scratched out sign on the table saying, IT'S COMING, and underneath it says, IT'S HERE. Which can be seen throughout all the visions of Nick.
      • Nick sees a woman reading about the movie, LOVE LAYS DYING.
      • Nick notices the TV is turned onto a speedway racing match.
      • Nick sees an advertisement of the pool where Hunt died.
      • This is similar to when Wendy notices things on the train that had to do with the others dying such as seeing a sign for the fast food place Frankie died, and advertisement for the tanning booth where Ashley and Ashlyn died and an advertisement for the home improvement store where Erin died.
      • Janet has eluded Death several times. She almost drowned in her car, nearly had her face ripped apart by a carwash cleaner, almost had her head crushed by a falling pipe, and was nearly impaled by debris from a theater explosion. This is the reason of George's death, because she confused Death while she is saved.
      • Before Janet almost dies at the carwash, Nick has an omen about a death that involved a spinning carwash cleaner, a malfunctioning circuit box, and a pipe bursting.
      • In the carwash scene where Janet was supposed to die, she wore a pink shirt with the number 45 on the back of it, which is the same number of the car that started the crash at the racetrack.
      • The day of the carwash, a flock of pigeons poop on her windshield. The flock references Tim's death in Final Destination 2.
      • Before entering the theaters, Janet was annoyed by the toy seller who controlled the helicopter as the helicopter blew her hairs, the position she was later got hit in the theater (premonition), and notice the platform which crushed Lori and her in the alternate ending being lifted above the ceiling window of the mall. In amazement, Janet said "Somebody could get killed with that."
      • Janet's outburst in the theater was "Don't you see? This is where I was supposed to be in the first place, not that stupid race. I was meant to see this movie!" as it was the movie's explosion immediately after that caused her death, she was right.
      • During what would have been her death at the carwash she is wearing a shirt with a "5". She was meant to be the 5th to die, at the same time as Hunt.
      • The theater that Lori and Janet were in was Theater #13.
      • Janet dies similar to how she dies in the premonition; she is crushed.
    • Candice Hooper
      • Candice feels a gust of wind blow past her.
      • Her good-luck rubber band that she twirls on her wrist snaps prior to beginning practice, hinting at the nature of her death, and that she wasn't going to be so lucky.
      • During the conversation between Peter and herself, Peter repeatedly mentions that the practice is the "last one" for Candice before going to regionals.
      • Candice says her coach would kill her if she missed the practice.
      • During her practice, right when she moves to the bars, her coach tells her to "stay loose".
      • Candice was almost electrocuted by stepping on the puddle that had dripped onto an exposed wire, but she was interrupted and went on to practice the high beams.
      • Both in the premonition and afterwards, Candice dies by support beams. In the premonition, she is impaled by the beam/pole on the boat that holds onto the sails. In her practice, she is moving on the unfixed, loose beam.
      • Both in the premonition and afterwards, Candice falls to her death with her spine being damaged. In the premonition, she falls and is impaled through the spine. In her practice, she falls on the ground, breaking her spine.
      • When Candice felt a gust of wind blowing by, a girl was using the balance beams in the background. If you look closely, it looks like the girl is going to hit Candice's neck.
      • The cord that Candice had stepped on, after she is nearly electrocuted on a puddle, the cord bears slightly the image of a skull.
      • The screw that falls may be a pun on the term, 'Don't screw it up', which means not to fail at something horribly, to which Candice had definitely done.
    • Isaac Palmer
      • Dennis announces at the funeral that Isaac was one of the casualties on the bridge, even though he was alive and well.
      • When Isaac is looking through the deceased employee's drawers, he finds one full of thumb tacks which could allude to the acupuncture needles.
      • He pricks his finger like Sam did.
      • A gust of wind makes all the candles flicker.
      • While going into the room, he jokingly insults the Budai statue that later kills him. Specifically, he comments on Budai being fat, and it is the statue's weight that kills him. Because of that, his death is a form of divine punishment.
      • While walking towards the room, he knocks on the walls, making sure that they are sound proof.
      • He rubs Budai's belly, which is something to do to get good luck.
      • The spa that Isaac went called Ming Yun Spa. In Chinese, Ming Yun (命運) means fate or destiny.
      • As Isaac talks on his phone, an attendant at the spa points to a sign saying "Turn off cellphones".
      • During the premonition, Isaac lands frontally (on his chest) on the bus windows. After the bed snaps and he falls on the ground, he falls the same way.
      • After his head is crushed by the statue, the blood stain on it's head makes an "11". 1+1= 2, and Isaac is the 2nd survivor to die.
      • After his death, there are six fliers of a person's head that represents the remaining survivors of the bridge collapse.
      • In Olivia's death, the doctor leaves her. In Isaac's death, the Chinese lady leaves him in the same way.
    • Nathan Sears
      • While at the bar, Nathan sees a picture of Roy standing near a race car with a six on it. This is the same car that starts the speedway collapse in The Final Destination.
      • When Nathan is talking to Sam before they get on the bus, he tells Sam that if he does go to Paris (Flight 180), then to take Roy with him. Flight 180 is responsible for Nathan's death later on.
      • While talking to John, John says "Life's a bitch". This is also one of the omens Nick O'Bannon sees before the speedway collapses in The Final Destination.
      • During the conversation with John, "Dust in the Wind" is playing quietly in the background just before Nathan is killed. Also the lyrics "Nothing lasts forever..." can be heard just after Nathan learns that Roy would have died soon anyway, meaning although Nathan bought himself a new life by killing Roy, he will still die one day.
      • At the beginning of the film, Nathan tells Sam he will rule over Roy even if it kills him.
      • Nathan is associated with Hice Pale Ale throughout this movie:
        • He brings in a pack of this brand of beer from Roy's truck for his friends to enjoy.
        • There is a neon sign of the beer at Cocktails, the bar where Nathan is killed by the landing gear from Flight 180.
      • When the song Dust in the Wind is heard, the lyrics are as follows: Don't hold on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky, dust in the wind. Each part of these lyrics relates to his death.
      • At the factory, before Roy's death, Nathan looks down from the walkway, and sees a dark shadow pass by, which resembles the yellow crane that would later kill Roy. However, when Nathan looks up, there is no crane there.
    • Dennis Lapman
      • Dennis says that its usually the factory workers who get laid off. He died in the factory.
      • Also, he tries to solve/fix several issues by contacting Agent Block. He dies by the wrench that is meant to fix things.
      • Peter says that Dennis could be the next person to die, this was after Nathan was skipped so it was Dennis's turn.
      • The wrench flew very close to Nathan's head; any closer and it would have been Nathan killed by it. The fact that it killed Dennis instead lends credence to the theory pertaining to the nature of being skipped from Death's list.
      • If you look closely, the wrench was spinning towards Dennis' eyes. Before his death, you can see gears spinning.
      • There are two clues of some objects that angles across Dennis' eyes and forehead where the wrench penetrates his head later on just like the clue on Billy Hitchcock's death:
        • A truck passes Dennis that the frame it is holding angles across his eyes and forehead, after Sam's premonition.
        • During the memorial, the monument behind him is lined at his eyes.
    • Peter Friedkin
      • Sam placed the meat spit in a oven during his shift.
      • During Sam's shift, the line cook nearly impales Sam with the meat spit, and says that could've been ugly.
      • Candice, Peter's girlfriend, was impaled in the back by her spine during Sam's premonition.
      • Peter is impaled with multiple bars in the premonition, just as he is in real life.
      • The meat spit has multiple teeth.
      • Seconds before his death, Peter whispers to Molly "Tell Candice I love her". Ironically, he dies seconds later, meaning that he can tell her himself.
    • Sam Lawton
      • The lights in Molly's house and Le Cáfe Miro 81 flicker momentarily.
      • Sam works at a restaurant called Le Cáfe Miro 81.
      • Molly reads a magazine with the lasik advertisement on the back.
      • Sam reads the flashing message on the plane, saying to fasten your seat belts.
      • Sam says to Molly, "As long as we're together, that's all that matters." Talking about when his death will happen.
      • During his shift, Sam gets worried about his own death and observed his surroundings. Two of the things he saw involved fire:
        • The fire on the stove in Le Cafe Miro 81 rises uncontrollably.
      • Sam cuts himself on Flight 180 just like he did on North Bay Bridge.
      • The song, Dust in the Wind, is heard on the plane.
      • Sam sees a group of kids shouting and arguing as they leave the plane. A flight attendant states to another passenger that one of the kids had a "vision" that the plane was going to explode.
        • That same visionary was directly facing Sam and Molly, screaming "GET OFF THE PLANE!" as he was being removed.
      • The sign that crushed Carter at the end of Final Destination was a Le Cafe Miro 81 sign.
      • A model plane is seen on his cubicle when him, Molly and Olivia discuss Candice's death.
      • The model plane and the cars in his cubicle, hints the following disasters in the series that sets off the events of the first four films.
      • Sam and Molly's assigned seat number is at "Seat 23". It is the number in the seat configuration where survivor Clear Rivers sit. Also, the pile-up in Final Destination 2 was on Route 23.
      • After the friends finish off a bottle of wine, Sam says "Well, this is the end. What are we toasting to?".
      • When Sam was in Molly's house, he looked at a picture of him and Molly. A nearby vase was reflecting in the glass. The reflection resembled the head of an airplane.
    • Molly Harper
      • Molly tells Sam she wants the window seat.
      • In the premonition, Sam gets cut in two by a sheet of steel, while in reality, Molly is the one who gets cut in two.
      • An advertisement is shown for the Easternfield Lasik Center where Olivia had gone to, on the back of Molly's magazine.
      • The words fasten your seat belt are flashing on the plane.
      • A model plane is seen near Sam's cubicle when she, Sam and Olivia discuss Candice's death.
      • The model plane and the cars in Sam's cubicle, hints the following disasters in the series that sets off the events of the first four films.
      • Sam and Molly's assigned seat number is at "Seat 23". It is the number in the seat configuration where survivor Clear Rivers sits.
      • Sam says to Molly "As long as we're together, that's all that matters.". While talking about when his death will occur.
      • A photo of Sam and Molly was seen in Molly's house. In the photo, Molly and Sam were hugging, she was standing in front of Sam, and she died before Sam.
      • In the photo, Sam is holding Molly at the waist. When Molly is bisected, she is bisected at the waist.
      • The song, "Dust in the Wind", is heard on the plane.
      • Sam sees a group of kids shouting and arguing as they leave the plane. A flight attendant states to another passenger that one of the kids had a "vision" that the plane was going to explode.
      • Sam cuts himself on Flight 180 just like he did on North Bay Bridge.
      • Her death is similar to when a girl on a plane (casualty of Final Destination) died from falling out of the plane's window seat in the premonition. It's possible that, in Final Destination, this casualty is actually her, as Sam and Molly ARE on the Plane.
      • During the whole movie she is timid, and doleful. Right before she dies she is a little bit carefree, and bright spirited. This may be a reference to Final Destination 2, as William Bludworth says that people are "most alive right before they die."
      • When Sam was in Molly's house, he looked at a picture of him and Molly, a vase was reflecting in the frame. The reflection looked like the head of an airplane.
