Doctor Bartholomew Funt, commonly known as Doctor Funt, was a paleontologist from California. After knowing about Denver, Dr. Funt wanted to test experiments on him and reveal him to the scientific community so he would end up rich and famous.

To see her reliable, Jon requested to assassinate some people, Dr. Bartholomew Funt is one of them.
Shortly after committing Morton Fizzback's death, "Mima" narrated that Dr. Funt dies of a heart attack.
Dr. Funt was in the same mall Morton was. Funt was on the second floor until he started to stutter before collapsing on the floor.
Recent news made Denver and his friends ponder how Funt died as paramedics claimed he died of a heart attack five minutes after Morton's death, but assumed it was also natural causes.

- In Lions, Tigers, and Dinos!, Dr. Funt was working as a zookeeper at County Zoo after his reputation was discredited when he attempted to expose Denver to the scientific community.
- It's also revealed his given name is Bartholomew.
- In Winning!, Dr. Funt competed on Let's Make 'Em Squeal with Morton with the latter promising the former money so he can have his own research lab.
- In Dog Gone Denver!, Dr. Funt owns a dog and registers in the county dog show in the relay race.
- His dog's hairstyle matches his.
- He wins the rare breed competition by declaring his dog's breed to be a Funtland Terrier.
- Funt also stated he's writing a definitive book on rare breeds that proves the evolutionary link between canines and their prehistoric ancestors.
- When Funt saw Denver disguised as a dog, he too believed Denver was an undiscovered breed of the Great Daneosaur but recognized him when he saw Wally and Shades.
- Before recognizing Denver, Funt tried to get close enough to him by disguising himself as a hot dog vendor.
- His partners in the relay race knew about his past history when Funt told them about trying to expose a dinosaur but, as expected, they didn't believe him.
- In Battle of the Bands, Dr. Funt and Morton stole Freddy's robotic band to enter the City Wide Talent Contest to win the big cash prize.

- In Tee Time for Denver, Dr. Funt created high-tech golf equipment for Morton to cheat in the City Wide Golf Tournament.
- In Birthday Party from Outer Space, Dr. Funt was a National Unidentified Flying Object Patrol agent where he mistook Freddy's spacecraft for a UFO and Denver as an alien.
- In Denver, at the Digs, Dr. Funt was part of a dig site to discover there are no dinosaur fossils so Mr. Richards can build his mall so Funt can open his own store, Funts Fabolous Fossils, by selling fake fossils.
- After discovering Denver at the site, he also attempted to capture and expose him to the scientific community, and put him on display in his shop.
- In There's No Business Like Snow Business, Dr. Funt and Morton devised to create a blizzard with the former's invention so the latter can sell snow removal equipment at prices.
